This website is new. Much of the content you know and love is still here (plus a few new things) but now it is in a brand-new pretty container. I've also moved my writing blog over from LiveJournal and integrated it here on the website. That should make organizing my writing life easier. I'm anxious to get back to blogging again.

Lately I've been writing a lot of essays which are turning into a couple of book projects. One is based on my experiences teaching poetry to incarcerated teens. (You can read more about those experiences by visiting my blog. Another current project is a book of essays based on my popular Of Dogs and Writing posts.

I haven't had as much time for art lately as I would like I so think that needs to go to the top of my to-do list.

I'm also starting to plan out a special blog project for this year's National Poetry Month. I'm thinking it's time to get a little more interactive with that month long event so be sure to check back as it gets closer to April so you can be a part of the fun.
